Overlooking stunning Catseye Beach, Sails combines a relaxed, open-air atmosphere with refined dining and genuine, intuitive service.
We're seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager who leads with confidence, warmth, and a hands-on approach. You'll work alongside the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, guide and inspire a passionate front-of-house team, and deliver exceptional, intuitive service that anticipates guest needs and makes every visit memorable.
Your Role
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving service excellence across all areas of the restaurant. You'll lead by example - working hands-on on the floor, behind the bar, and supporting your team wherever needed to create a seamless guest experience. Your ability to anticipate needs, adapt quickly, and maintain composure in a busy environment will be key to your success.
Where you'll make an impact
* Lead, train, and motivate the Food & Beverage team to deliver intuitive, high-quality service
* Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all daily operations and guest service flow
* Work hands-on across all areas - floor, bar, and host - to support and enhance team performance
* Anticipate guest needs and add thoughtful touches that elevate each experience
* Assist with rostering, stock control, and financial reporting
* Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards
* Foster a culture of teamwork, positivity, and service excellence

You're a confident and experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You take pride in creating memorable moments through intuitive, thoughtful service and enjoy leading from the front with a positive, hands-on approach.
To be successful, you'll need:
* Currently operating confidently at a Management level
* A natural ability to read the room and anticipate guest needs
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to work across all service areas
* Nationally Recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate (Essential)
* Responsible Management of Licensed Venue Certificate & Card (RMLV) (Preferred)
* Drivers Licence (Desirable)
