The Opportunity
Aveo is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Community Manager to join our team at ***, a Retirement Living community located in SUBURB, STATE. As our Assistant Community Manager, you will work closely with the Community Manager and residents to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the community. Your customer‐centred approach to your work and ability to connect with our residents will help you be successful. This role is a customer‐facing role where you will be required to be organised, fast‐paced and friendly. Located in the suburb of ***, we are looking for a seasoned professional that will use their existing business skills & experience to deliver a high level of service to this community. This is a full-time 9‐5pm Monday‐Friday role meaning no weekends! (CHANGE AS NEEDED)

Your Impact
* Support the residents & their families, internal stakeholders and external contractors.
* Be the first point of contact for residents and their queries and concerns.
* Ensure ongoing daily operations of entire village services including safety, security, maintenance and financial performance.
* You will monitor and review village compliance in relation to the Retirement Villages Act and ensure all policies & procedures are being adhered to.
* Assist with budget development & financial management.
* Complete general administrative tasks including but not limited to email & phone communication, distribution of mail & notices and incident recording.
* Assist with the ongoing daily operations of the community including safety, security, maintenance/facilities, and compliance checks.
* Provide regular operational feedback and escalation items to the Community Business Manager.
* Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including but limited to resident family members, contractors & suppliers and corporate office departments.
* Complete general administrative tasks including but not limited to email & phone communication, reception duties, auditing, and incident recording.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in an operations‐based management role highly desirable (e.g Hospitality, Hotel/Tourism, Property Management or Facilities Management).
* Prior experience in a front‐line operations or administration role (e.g. Hospitality, Hotel or Office Manager or similar).
* Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline (desirable, not essential).
* Superb teamwork skills and a great sense of humour to join a fun and welcoming community.
* Intermediate use of Microsoft Suite and highly computer literate as you will learn new programs.
* High‐level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
* Strong people, communication and stakeholder skills with a self‐motivated mindset.
* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint).
* Current Police Check certificate (required, but we can complete for you!).
* Two (2) COVID‐19 vaccinations (required).
