**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
**The employee must**:
- Work safely and comply with established safety procedures.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to their Supervisor.
- Read, understand and comply with all written and verbal procedures or Standard Work Instructions (SWI's).
- Read, understand and follow all product Run Charts and SWI's to ensure the production schedule is achieved accurately, including packaging of products onto pallets.
- Identify and gather all tools, materials and components to meet the production schedule and minimise delays.
- Decant and weigh raw materials using scales and other measurement equipment.
- Operate overhead cranes and use hand and power tools ie. Drills, saws, routers, trimming knives etc.
- Ensure all production, documents and other relevant information is recorded accurately and stored according to the relevant procedures or SWI's.
- Assemble and inspect moulded products as per the SWI or as directed, ensuring they meet established quality standards.
- Inform their Supervisor of any quality, product or machine issues or concerns.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
- Participate in safety, quality, cost reduction or other activities as requested.
- Assist the Moulding Specialist as required.
- Assist the Moulding Specialist as required.
- Complies with occupational health and safety regulations & policies and engages in safe working practices.
- Report any incidents / accidents or pain complaints immediately
- Work in a safe manner that does not put you or your work colleagues in danger.
- Complies with all safe work procedures, traffic management and PPE requirements.
- Do not operate a tool or process without the appropriate training and competency.
- Has general understanding of the Company mission and values.
- Understands the roles of section dealt with during course of work.
- More detailed knowledge of own section's roles and functions.
- Works under general supervision.
- Limited coaching on the job and limited checking of others work.
- Participates as an effective team member.
- Shares gained knowledge.
- Guides less experienced staff.
- Interacts with people via the use of written documentation to give or receive straightforward facts.
- Deals with routine enquires from other sections within the plant.
- Minimises conflict at work.
- Regularly communicates with Supervisor to advise of issues /progress.
- Provides a level of customer service to both internal and external customers that meet their needs.
- Obtains feedback from customers and effectively deals with or refers issues to the appropriate level.
- Able to identify the importance of building customer relations.
- Solves related problems in work area using problem solving techniques that go beyond set procedures, requiring minor analysis & investigation.
- Identifies and resolves most problems.
- Contacts Supervisor only to seek specialised help or notify progress of work.
- Complies with occupational health and safety regulations and policies.
- Identifies quality variations by matching output against job instructions and quality standards in own work area and by detecting defective products.
- Adheres to company policies.
**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**
- Year 10 and/or Certificate II or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, areas, circumference and volumes.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or table form.
- Rotomould or plastics manufacturing experience.
- Driver's / forklift license.
