The Opportunity
We're seeking a skilled Contracts and Negotiations Expert to support our Programs in Adelaide. You will be responsible for supporting various contracting activities, including tasks such as developing and negotiating timely and quality proposals leading to the contract administration/execution of these transactions.
As a member of a team representing the company, you will engage in external negotiations with diverse customers, exercising appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies.
You will frequently interact with key stakeholders within the business, advising and guiding them in contractual interpretations and negotiations. You will also deal directly with customers and their contracts, commercial and legal advisors.
Responsibilities:
* Exercise appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies.
* Support the presentation of business solutions to preserve and expand the business. As a member of a team representing the company, you will support external negotiations with diverse customers.
* Authority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements.
* Coordinate with other internal functional disciplines. Summarize contractual issues, support the development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation.
Experience/Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g. Law, Accounting or Business Management). Formal qualification in Law is highly desirable.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Contracts Specialist role. Excellent drafting skills, strong commercial acumen and previous demonstrated experience with Australian Standard Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) suit of templates are highly desirable.
Strong planning and organisational skills. Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
