Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Legal Studies and/or Business teacher to deliver engaging programs across senior secondary levels. The successful candidate will:
* Teach Legal Studies, Business, and related subjects in line with the Australian Curriculum and senior certification requirements
* Prepare students for assessment, examinations, and practical applications in business and law
* Develop creative and differentiated learning experiences that engage and challenge students
* Contribute to co‐curricular and extra‐curricular programs, including business and law‐related initiatives
* Support students' personal, social, and academic growth in a collaborative school environment
* This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about building student confidence, practical understanding, and critical thinking skills in business and law.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver high‐quality, student‐centred lessons in Legal Studies and/or Business
* Develop and implement curriculum‐aligned units of work that foster analytical, financial, and entrepreneurial skills
* Support senior students with assessment preparation and practical applications
* Use school data to inform teaching strategies and differentiate learning
* Participate in school initiatives, events, and community programs
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a supportive, high‐performing learning environment
Requirements
* Relevant teacher registration in Queensland or eligibility for registration
* Experience teaching Legal Studies and/or Business at secondary level
* Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and senior certification requirements
* Ability to inspire students and create an engaging and inclusive classroom
* Commitment to contributing positively to school life, extra‐curricular programs, and community engagement
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
