About the Role
As Press Shop Supervisor, you will coordinate daily workshop activities, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards. You'll manage a team of operators, optimize workflow, and contribute to process improvements that support the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead brake press operations, and supervise workshop personnel, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
* Plan and coordinate press shop activities to meet production schedules
* Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues
* Ensure all components meet quality standards and specifications
* Enforce WHS policies and conduct regular safety checks
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and support lean initiatives
* Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with management
What We're Looking For
* Trade qualification in metal fabrication, mechanical engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a press shop or similar manufacturing environment
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience
* Strong understanding of press machinery, tooling, and metal forming processes
* Knowledge of WHS regulations and quality standards
* Forklift license and overhead crane experience (preferred)
