About the role
As a Roller Operator at Brown Contractors', you will play a vital role in our construction projects. This casual position is based in Kingaroy, QLD and involves operating specialised machinery in preparation for further construction work. You will be an important part of our skilled team, contributing to the successful delivery of our projects.
Position starts the first week of January 2026
What you'll be doing
1. Operate rollers and compaction equipment in conjuction with our stabilisation crew
2. Ensure the smooth and even compaction of surfaces in accordance with project specifications
3. Conduct routine maintenance and basic repairs on assigned equipment
4. Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations on the construction site
5. Collaborate with the broader construction team to meet project deadlines and quality standards
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Roller Operator or similar construction equipment operator role
2. Proficient in the operation of various rollers
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
4. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic construction environment
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
6. Relevant construction industry certifications or licenses (e.g.VOC's)
7. Australian work rights are required for this position
8. Experience in civil construction is preffered
