Role Overview
We are seeking individuals who want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others by working as support workers in the community.
This role involves assisting individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities by implementing tailored programs to help them achieve their goals.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in autonomous roles and can motivate participants to engage with their community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing individualized support plans to meet the needs of clients
* Taught life skills such as travel training, cooking, and budgeting to enhance independence
* Working independently with minimal supervision and handling challenging situations effectively
* Maintaining professional relationships with clients and communicating effectively within complex family dynamics
Requirements:
* A minimum of a Certificate III level qualification in Mental Health, Disabilities, or related field
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and handle complex situations
* A current First Aid Certificate and experience supporting people with disabilities
