About the role
Are you an expert in the dairy industry with a strong technical background in dairy manufacturing or quality management? Join AsureQuality as a Key Account Manager and inherit an established portfolio within our largest commercial segment – dairy. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise to drive high‐value sales through Key Account Management and New Business Development, addressing the unique blend of export and domestic challenges our dairy customers face. As New Zealand's dairy industry continues to grow, you'll be at the forefront, supporting the sector and helping to underpin the nation's success in global markets.
This full‐time, permanent position involves working 40 hours per week, anytime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. Ideally, you'll be in our Burnside (Christchurch) office or Mt Wellington (Auckland) office on a hybrid basis. Although we are open to other locations within NZ that are easy to do regular domestic travel from.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with major dairy sector accounts, ensuring strong, long‐term partnerships.
- Drive revenue by expanding services within existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet sales targets and business goals.
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals and amendments, securing favourable terms for both parties.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities, partnering with customers to share valuable insights.
- Monitor account performance, prepare reports and actively hunt opportunities for revenue growth and new customers.
- Represent the customer's voice internally when working with internal teams to deliver seamless services.
Requirements
- Proven track record of successful high‐value Key Account Management, Business Development Management or Technical Sales.
- High drive for excellence in performance, both financially and in relationship building with business customers.
- Strong commercial savviness and ability to match and promote our technical services to customers' needs.
- Robust technical dairy / dairy quality knowledge.
- Self‐starter with strong drive to win new business and grow the financial value of their accounts.
