Position
We are looking for an Agile Development Team Lead to lead a team of software developers, including seniors and full‑stack developers, to deliver high‑quality solutions, designed collaboratively with business product owners.
Role Summary
As an Agile Development Team Lead for IPRS Health your role involves a blend of technical oversight, people management and project coordination to guide our software development team in delivering high‑quality solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers to deliver high‑quality solutions within agreed timelines, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth
* Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary resources and training
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements where required, ensuring alignment with business goals
* Translate business needs into technical specifications and oversee the design and implementation of software solutions
* Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
* Facilitate regular stand‑ups, team meetings, code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to promote best practices and continuous improvement
Requirements
Qualifications (Essential)
* Degree or equivalent industry experience in Computer Programming/Science, Information Systems or related subjects
Experience (Essential)
* Demonstrable experience leading software development teams and managing the agile software development lifecycle
* Ability to produce clear written communications such as training documents and project plans
* Practical experience with project management software, e.g., Jira or Azure Dev Ops
Skills (Essential)
* Very good interpersonal skills and ability to act efficiently in a highly demand‑led environment
* Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to promote solutions to business‑related problems
* Strong communication and presentation skills, conveying complex information to non‑technical stakeholders
* Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
Other Information
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Permanent position, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Hybrid role: 2–3 days per week from our office location in Suffolk IP6 0FU
