About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join the Asset Management team based at our Wagga Wagga processing site in New South Wales.
The role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of project works, facilitating the effective execution and compliance with Teys’ processes and procedures, including Environmental and Health and Safety programs.
The Project Manager will conduct regular inspections to ensure objectives, timeline, budget and resources are effectively managed and achieved.
Reporting to the Facility Asset Manager, this position will oversee site projects and contractor activities while mitigating regulatory risks and maintaining up-to-date records of project development.
Additionally, the role will contribute to strategic planning and reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree Qualifications (Mechanical Engineering) or demonstrated experience in other engineering disciplines
- Ability to coordinate personnel with diverse skills and experiences to accomplish overall planning goals.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager/ Site Supervisor on similar projects
- Understanding how construction equipment works for inspection, operation and general maintenance
- Working knowledge and understanding of construction specific Acts, codes and Regulations with particular attention and awareness of the National Construction Code - Building Code of Australia, Security of Payments Act, and Regulation, environmental regulations, and legislation
- Working knowledge of major forms of Head Contracts and fundamental Contract Law principals.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate including advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar software indicates expertise in managing technical drawings and ERP systems such as JDE, SAP, etc
Desirable:
- Relevant experience within the Food Processing Industry.
- Relevant experience working with Phased Project Delivery Projects
