**How will I help?**
The Credit Risk Models develops and maintains a range of credit risk models including risk estimate models (PD, LGD and EAD) and portfolio models that drive credit capital and provisioning for the Westpac Group. This position exists to oversee the development of credit portfolio models and methodologies utilised for stress testing. The role of Modeller will report into the Executive Manager, Risk Analytics and be part of the stress testing team.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop statistical credit risk models (Probability of Default and, Loss Given Default) to establish and maintain 'best practice' risk management, including 
- Responsible for ensuring credit risk provisioning models are maintained to a high standard to facilitate compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, governance frameworks and policies 
- Proactively collaborate and communicate with managers to ensure our projects, business-as-usual activities, governance framework and compliance obligations are conducted in a coordinated manner 
- Ensure that all processes, procedures issues and outcomes are appropriately documented and controlled.

**What do I need?** 
- Moderate years of experience within an analytical team or equivalent ideally within financial services industry. 
- Analytical experience using programming skills such as SAS, Python, SQL, R, Matlab, or similar 
- Tertiary qualifications (Maths/Statistics/Quantitative/Business or other relevant degree) 
- Sound data management expertise
