About the Role
This is a key leadership position that will play a pivotal role in driving operational performance and growth. The Chief Operating Officer will lead a diverse Operations and Project teams, collaborating with the General Manager to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Operations & Project Delivery: responsible for engineering, project management, production, procurement, and warehousing functions.
* Project Financials: overseeing cost control, delivery timelines, and margin preservation across projects from $0.5M to $10M+
* Systems & Processes: initiating and leading the implementation of best practices and operational platforms.
* Team Leadership: managing/influencing 5-7 functional leads across engineering, production, projects, procurement, and finance.
* Culture Stewardship: maintaining our transparent, merit-based, and self-policing culture.
Requirements
* An engineering or technical background (degree preferred).
* A proven leader in project delivery with commercial accountability.
* Experience in engineering, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, or similar sectors.
* Skilled in leading technically strong teams and driving change.
* Comfortable presenting business cases and influencing board-level decisions.
* Grounded, humble, strategic – and not afraid to roll up sleeves.
