Job Overview
The MRI Technologist Specialist is responsible for the performance of high-quality MR studies, ensuring patient safety and effective communication with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in magnetic resonance imaging and be able to work at multiple locations. This role requires excellent customer service skills, organizational abilities, and basic knowledge of computer applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic injection technique.
* Produces high-quality diagnostic images using multiple MR systems.
* Demonstrates ability to use all channels of communication to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
* Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.
* Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR technologist assistants on site and remotely.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
* ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
* State license, if applicable.
* CPR Certification.
* Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
Preferred:
* Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
* Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
* 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience.
Physical Requirements:
* Sit, stand, walk more than 50% of the time.
* Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs more than 50% of the time.
