Job Opportunity
This is a chance for an ambitious individual to become part of our dedicated nursing team. We are a large GP Partnership with 4 sites in Shoreham and Southwick, striving for excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the practice nurse with health promotion initiatives
2. Perform baseline observations including pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, and record findings accurately
3. Facilitate routine and 24-hour BP monitoring, advising patients accordingly
4. Undertake basic wound care, dressings, and other clinical tasks as required
5. Support the practice nurse with chronic disease clinics and dementia/mental health reviews
6. Carry out BMI checks as directed
7. Undertake venepuncture
8. Administer flu vaccinations when trained
9. Carry out ear irrigation under supervision of the practice nurse when trained
10. Carry out ECGs as requested
11. Carry out B12 injections
12. Carry out NHS Health Checks when trained
13. Carry out Smoking cessation when trained
14. Carry out learning disability health checks when trained
15. Diabetes screening including foot checks
16. Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation
17. Provide support during minor operations as required
18. Maintain clinical rooms stocked and prepared for each session
19. Clean fridges routinely according to guidance
20. Remove clinical waste and replace sharps bins according to IPC policy
