Sales Development Representative (Construction Technology)

Melbourne (3 days in-office)

$70,000-80,000 Base k OTE uncapped)

My client is a growing construction technology company delivering an all-in-one project management platform purpose-built for SMB's. The product was designed by industry insiders to remove admin burden, improve visibility across projects, and centralise tools used in day-to-day construction operations.

With strong backing and increasing market demand, the business is investing in its sales team to accelerate growth across Australia and New Zealand.

The Role

We're hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help drive pipeline growth through outbound prospecting and lead qualification.

This is a classic SDR role suited to someone early in their sales career who is hungry, resilient, and motivated by targets. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers and play a critical role in feeding high-quality opportunities to the closing team.

What You'll Be Doing

Outbound Prospecting

* Cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn outreach to generate new opportunities
* Follow up inbound leads and nurture early-stage prospects
* Engage builders, contractors, and trade businesses to understand their challenges

Lead Qualification

* Run discovery conversations to qualify need, timing, and fit
* Confidently overcome objections and articulate value
* Book qualified meetings and hand off sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives

CRM & Pipeline Support

* Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking
* Collaborate closely with sales and leadership on pipeline progression
* Support reporting and forecasting through strong data hygiene

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

* Previous B2B sales experience (SDR/BDR or similar)
* Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
* Proven ability to handle objections and push conversations forward
* High energy, resilience, and a competitive mindset
* Culture-first, team-oriented attitude

Nice-to-Have

* Experience in construction, trades, or construction technology
* SaaS sales exposure
* Familiarity selling to operational or field-based businesses
