Team Leader Cleaning and Infection Control

The Role:
The Cleaning & Infection Control Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, performance, and compliance of the Cleaning and Infection Control service stream. The role ensures hospital facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control, supporting patient safety and wellbeing. This includes leading cleaning teams, coordinating daily workflows, conducting audits, ensuring compliance with healthcare and infection control standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful at this role, you will have:
- Ability to plan daily workloads, allocate staff, and manage resources effectively
- Proven ability to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement
- Sound knowledge of healthcare cleaning standards and infection control
- Relevant qualification in cleaning, infection control, healthcare, or leadership
This position is remunerated at an Administration Officer Grade 2 (HS2) under the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement.
