Coal LSL is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of key Workforce Strategy initiatives aligned to organisational priorities. This is a high-impact role within a purpose-driven organisation, offering the opportunity to shape, build and lead strategic workforce projects from end to end.
About Coal LSL
Coal LSL is a corporate Commonwealth entity charged with regulating and managing long service leave entitlements on behalf of employees and employers in the Australian black coal mining industry. As the only national portable long service leave scheme in Australia, their purpose is to connect eligible employees with their long service leave benefits and ensure employers comply with their obligations.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Strategy & Planning Manager, you will drive planning, governance and delivery of Workforce Strategy initiatives - ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards, in line with Coal LSL's delivery framework.
You will:
* Lead end-to-end delivery of complex workforce and organisational projects.
* Build trusted stakeholder relationships while holding individuals accountable for outcomes.
* Manage scope, financials, governance, risks and reporting.
* Navigate reprioritisation and interdependencies in a complex environment.
* Lead cross-functional or virtual teams to drive alignment and delivery.
* Ensure smooth transition of project outcomes into business operations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery frameworks and capability.

About You
You are adaptable, collaborative and outcomes‐focused. You navigate change with composure and confidently guide others through shifting priorities. With outstanding interpersonal skills, you build strong connections and work effectively with stakeholders, establishing trust and credibility quickly.
We welcome applications from:
* Experienced Project Managers with strong HR or workforce project experience; or
* HR practitioners who have transitioned into project delivery and thrive in strategic workforce initiatives.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Workforce Planning, HR, Business or Project Management.
* 5+ years' experience delivering medium to large workforce-related and/or organisational projects.
* Demonstrated experience applying various project methodologies.
* Strong influencing, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* The ability to hold people accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.
* Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking capability.
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
