Are you an experienced Intensive Care or Advanced Care Paramedic looking for flexible FIFO opportunities?
Casual paramedics required to provide rapid response, emergency medical assessment, treatment and care in a remote mining environment supporting global mining organisations across Western Australia.
This role offers you an opportunity to apply your knowledge, skills and industry experience in the development and delivery of industry specific medical remote emergency and health training, to local and international mining and resource companies.
You will be closely supported by the REHS team, and the client's onsite Health & Safety team, to ensure your success in the role.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Providing emergency and non-emergency assistance and medical care to site.
Managing the emergency medical facilities and assets onsite to ensure a timely professional response.
Ensuring the ambulance and equipment are working, clean and up to standard.
Notification and reporting of injuries to relevant Line Manager
Supporting and coordinating medical reviews of injuries
Participating in emergency response training when required
Working with a broader medical team including Paramedics, First Responders, RFDS and Occupational Physicians.
Engaging in site-based health and wellness initiatives
Working within the REHS systems including early intervention injury and illness management programs, in line with policy and legislative requirements
Driving identified projects to meet both short and long term goals of the patient and client
On call and/ or call outs as required
About you:
First and foremost, you must be passionate about emergency health and have proven experience in delivering remote health services.
Must have:
Bachelor of Paramedicine
The ability to work a combination of day and night shift on 2:2 roster
HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
Current ALS1 or ALS2 qualification
AHPRA Registration (unrestricted)
Current Manual Drivers Licence
4WD/ Advanced driving experience
National Police Clearance (current)
Ability to effectively communicate and influence across all levels of the organisation
Sound clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills
Ability to use initiative, pre-empt needs and work autonomously
Planning and organisation skills to schedule and monitor activities
Previous experience working in a mining environment
BSB41419 – Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or working towards
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher
MSIC Maritime Security Identification Card
