Overview of the Job:
* This Senior Power BI Developer will lead the design and delivery of an enterprise reporting layer, turning curated data into a scalable, governed model.
The successful candidate will drive the shift from spreadsheet-led reporting to a centralised model that empowers faster, sharper decision-making across finance, risk, sales operations, marketing, and the executive team.
They will work cross-functionally with Tech and business stakeholders to align data, logic, and design, while ensuring model performance and governance are built for scale.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and govern the enterprise semantic layer, including KPIs, calculations, folder structures, and access controls.
* Collaborate on Data Architecture: Work with Tech to shape the Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, define dimensional models, and translate business logic into scalable data structures.
* Deliver Business-Critical Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards for teams across Finance, Risk, Sales Ops, Marketing, and Lending. Replace manual reports with automated, actionable insights.
* Enable Performance & Scale: Optimise model performance, implement CI/CD and version control, and drive adoption of self-service analytics through reusable datasets and documentation.
Requirements:
* 5+ years in Power BI development, including semantic model ownership and enterprise dataset design.
* Proven experience working with Lakehouse or warehouse data (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, BigQuery).
* Strong DAX optimisation skills and deep understanding of dimensional modelling (star schema, RLS/OLS).
* Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and Git-based deployment for Power BI assets.
* Proficient with Tabular Editor and ALM Toolkit for scripting, model validation, and deployment.
* Comfortable owning data logic, leading governance efforts, and engaging across business and tech functions.
* Strong communicator, able to challenge assumptions, document logic, and drive alignment.
* Exposure to financial services or lending is highly regarded.
