Job Title: Commercial Operations Manager
We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Operations Manager to lead and manage our commercial operations in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement high-level sales strategies for air, sea, and road freight services — including setting sales targets and defining go-to-market plans.
* Analyse domestic and international logistics market trends, competitor pricing and freight-market dynamics to guide strategic pricing and positioning.
* Lead marketing and promotional activities — including digital campaigns, print media, trade-shows or industry events — to build brand awareness and drive lead generation.
* Execute branding initiatives to strengthen our presence in the Australian logistics market.
* Prepare sales forecasts, KPI reports, and revenue-growth strategies; monitor performance and adjust plans accordingly.
* Manage key client accounts : lead customer engagement, maintain relationships, and resolve escalated issues.
* Coordinate with global offices across 65+ countries to deliver integrated supply-chain solutions and ensure alignment with global standards.
* Negotiate pricing with carriers, airlines, shipping lines, transport partners; develop trade-lane partnerships and business opportunities.
* Identify and develop new trade lanes, partnerships, and business opportunities to grow the volume of freight flows and services.
* Ensure all sales and marketing strategies comply with company policies and global branding standards; maintain accurate CRM and lead customer-retention programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, commerce, logistics / supply-chain or a related discipline — or equivalent demonstrated experience.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics / freight forwarding / supply-chain sales or related field, with demonstrable success achieving sales targets and executing marketing plans.
* Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and client-relationship management.
* Solid understanding of import / export operations, FCL / LCL freight processes, and international freight-forwarding services.
* Ability to coordinate across global offices and work with international stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills, capacity to develop strategic sales / marketing plans, and drive business growth.
