As the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine, we are helping to create long-term jobs and opportunities across regional Queensland. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer (Scheduling) to join our on-site Technical Services team.

Your new role
Working on an 8/6 roster, you will play a key role within the Technical Services team, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and support to site-based engineers and operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading short-term mine planning activities, including mine designs and schedules, to meet contract and operational requirements
* Collaborating closely with operations to develop practical and executable plans
* Delivering mine plans to operational teams and monitoring performance against plan
* Strategic planning, optimisation, and monitoring of mine engineering activities
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives and providing sound technical advice
* Tracking operational KPIs and commercial performance
* Acting as a step-up Technical Services Manager during leave periods
What you'll need to succeed
* Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (must be based in Australia)
* Bachelor of Engineering (Mining or Civil)
* G1, G8, G9 and G2 statutory tickets (previously S1, S2, S3)
* Demonstrated experience in coal mining, ideally in a senior mine planning and/or drill and blast role
* Strong scheduling skills (SPRY) and design experience using Vulcan or Deswik (highly desirable)
* Current Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Queensland Driver Licence
