The Vault Minerals Exploration Department drives project advancement across all tenements surrounding the Mount Monger, Deflector, Rothsay, Darlot, and King of the Hill operations, exploring diverse geological settings.
With significant investment in exploration, you will be instrumental in identifying and progressing mineral system-wide targets into viable project opportunities.
Reporting directly to the District Geologist, the purpose of the Graduate Exploration Geologist is to contribute to the geological definition and evaluation of a specific property or project through assisting with supervision of drilling programs; supervision of geophysical and geochemical surveys; compilation and analysis of data; and contributing to the preparation of technical reports for Vault Minerals.
This role is offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth.
Key responsibilities of this role will include: Provide support in managing and executing approved programmes on specified project areas as required Support the Project Geologists in ensuring all statutory requirements, approvals and reports are adhered to and budget constraints considered Contribute to all aspects of exploration geology for the project, encompassing: Target generation Logistical planning Budget inputs and maintenance Supervise exploration work programmes Geological documentation (including table 1 of **** JORC code) Assist with regulatory documentation (i.e. POW, Annual Reports).
Assist with monitoring, sampling and logging of exploration drilling programs to assess targets for further development Assist with training Geological Technicians Ensure accurate data capture from work programmes, and assist in data evaluation and validation processes Provide requested input to overall company exploration plans Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reporting of exploration activities Assist with project leadership and maintain Vault Minerals confidentiality Assist in developing exploration procedures About You Degree in Geology or a related discipline.
Developing an understanding of the statutory requirements of the Western Australian Mining Act and Regulations, as well as the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
Demonstrates outstanding attention to detail and possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite.
Vacation work experience within the Mining industry, ideally within Gold Mining, will be highly regarded.
