About The Role
We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide impactful therapy to NDIS participants. Your daily tasks may include:
* Working in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centers
* Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving goals and maximizing NDIS funding
* Building meaningful relationships with participants and their support networks (family, carers, friends)
* Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, using a positive behaviour support framework
* Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
* Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
* Participating in weekly team meetings to share impact stories and foster team camaraderie
* Receiving support from your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor

Candidates must have a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters, or Graduate Diploma) and appropriate registration, such as:
* Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration
* Speech Pathologist with SPA registration
* Social Worker eligible for AASW membership
* Mental Health Nurse with AHPRA registration
* Degree in Psychology, Psychological/Social Science, or related field
Additional requirements include:
* Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
* At least 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
* Positive, flexible attitude towards work
* Strong communication skills and team orientation
* Commitment to personal and professional development
* Valid Australian driver’s license
* NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Working with Children Check
