Position Overview
Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will act as a key communication link between internal teams and external partners, facilitating smooth operations and resolving issues that may impact delivery timelines. Working closely with Supply Chain, Production, Procurement and Sales, you will align logistics activities with business needs to optimise efficiency and support operational goals. A portion of the role will also involve creating and distributing production order picklists for forklift operators.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate transportation activities with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely, accurate and cost‐effective movement of goods.
* Maintain communication with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth operations and resolve delivery issues.
* Align logistics activities with business needs to optimise efficiency and support operational goals.
* Identify opportunities to enhance processes, streamline workflows and improve overall logistics performance.
* Monitor key performance indicators, report on logistics outcomes and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
* Create and distribute production order picklists for forklift operators to ensure accurate stock allocation and picking.
Qualifications
* Experience coordinating freight, export documentation and transport logistics.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Proven ability to solve problems, manage competing deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
* A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and operational excellence.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially when managing documentation and reporting.
* Experience with ERP or logistics management systems (preferred).
* A team‐focused approach and a commitment to meeting business and customer delivery expectations.
