Job Description:
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has an exciting opportunity for a skilled midwife to join their team in a casual capacity. This position provides family-centered midwifery care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and significant others to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient management within the Women's Unit.

As a registered midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by applying nursing and midwifery clinical skills and contemporary knowledge to support optimal care outcomes through care coordination, collaboration, and communication within the scope of professional competence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive ante and postnatal assessments and develop or revise care plans that are inclusive of the patient's physical, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs and expectations for her pregnancy-childbirth continuum and expected clinical outcomes.
* Determine and monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout hospitalization and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and high standards of care.
* Partner with patients and their support persons throughout the pregnancy and birth continuum to provide woman-centered maternity care about personal and/or cultural needs and preferences.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following criteria:
* Currency of neonatal resuscitation.
* Currency of K2 Perinatal Training through an approved provider.
* Current dual registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Midwife and Registered Nurse (dual qualifications).
* Minimum of one year of postgraduate experience, including in birth suites.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical problem-solving skills.
