Description
In this 12‑month fixed‑term role, you will work within a Global Technology R&D team to deliver projects across three major development streams - concept research, prototype development and detailed production design.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and CAD‑modelling concept and prototype components to support R&D programs.
* Developing refrigeration / thermal systems to meet specific performance requirements.
* Supporting prototype manufacture, assembly, testing and documentation.
* Conducting structured testing, maintaining clear, reproducible technical records.
* Assisting in electrical and ECU development activities for prototype applications.
* Preparing internal reports, technical documentation and presentations.
* Collaborating closely with internal teams including Sales, Purchasing, Service and Corporate functions.
* Working with external customers, suppliers and global technical centres.
Profile
* A degree in Engineering (accepted by Engineers Australia).
* Strong knowledge of thermal systems (A/C, refrigeration) - essential.
* Experience in concept development, prototyping and detailed engineering design.
* Strong 3D visualisation and CAD modelling skills.
* Basic mechanical hands‑on skills for prototype assembly or test rig modification.
* A proactive, collaborative style suited to small project teams.
* Strong mathematical and reasoning ability supporting engineering modelling and problem solving.
