Research Opportunities in Autonomous Systems
We are seeking a talented researcher to join our Control for Autonomy Team. The team focuses on planning, control and estimation for autonomous systems leveraging novel fundamental research in control theory, optimization, estimation and machine learning.
The research areas include design with guarantees and analysis of machine learning-based controllers, perception based planning and control, control for human-in-the-loop and human-machine interaction, real-time optimization algorithms, statistical learning and estimation, and constrained control. Candidates at any career stage are considered.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct innovative fundamental research in control and planning for autonomous systems.
* Validate research results by simulations and possibly experiments.
* Publish results in leading technical journals and conferences.
* Support technology transfer.
* Define new long-term research directions.
Requirements:
* A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.
* Strong programming skills.
* Teamwork, communication and presentation skills.
