About the role
This is not your typical safety role. It’s dynamic, hands-on, and designed for someone who thrives on variety and problem solving. You’ll partner with a wide range of stakeholders across the education and community sectors, where needs can shift rapidly, so agility, adaptability and creative thinking are essential. From construction projects to events, vehicle & road safety to plant and equipment compliance, you’ll have the opportunity to influence safety across diverse environments.
In this role, you will:
* Deliver expert guidance, compliance oversight, and real time coaching to keep our people safe and our projects on track.
* Drive safety inspections, audits, and SWMS reviews across campuses and project sites.
* Lead hazard and incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Manage contractor OHS plans, inductions, and compliance for capital works.
* Coordinate emergency planning, drills, and scenario testing.
* Develop SOPs, risk assessments, and psychosocial safety initiatives.
* Deliver site inductions, training, and on the ground coaching to a broad audience with varying levels of safety understanding.
* Provide safety oversight for organisational projects and maintain accurate records.
* Champion a proactive safety culture and support key safety strategies.

You’re a confident safety professional who brings:
* Experience supporting safety within an education environment with varied stakeholder groups.
* Proven expertise in risk management, safety systems, and compliance monitoring.
* Strong, adaptable communication skills—able to connect with and influence a wide audience, from educators and support staff to contractors and senior leaders.
* A solutions focused mindset with natural problem solving ability.
* An easy going, approachable style with the confidence to challenge respectfully and constructively.
* Agility and adaptability to respond quickly to changing needs across multiple sites.
* Exceptional organisational ability to manage priorities and deadlines with ease.
* Tech savvy proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, safety systems, and asset management software.
