As a Server/Barman at Lock's Paddock Restaurant, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every guest has a pleasant dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a strong knowledge of food and drink offerings.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, answering any questions they may have about the menu items.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the restaurant's order management system.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
2. Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Maintain knowledge of drink specials, cocktails, wines, and beers to provide recommendations to guests.
- Monitor the bar area for cleanliness and organization, restocking supplies as necessary.
3. Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Collaborate with fellow servers and bartenders to maintain a positive team environment and ensure efficient service.
4. Cash Handling:
- Process payments accurately using the restaurant's point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and tips in accordance with restaurant policies.
5. Health Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ensure that the dining area and bar are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
6. Customer Engagement:
- Build rapport with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and encourage repeat visits.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a server or bartender in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wines, cocktails, and craft beers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay: $23.23 - $42.39 per hour
