About the Position
We are looking to welcome an Allied Health Practitioner or Specialist Educator to provide trauma-informed therapeutic service to children, young people and their families in educational settings.
* Full time position.
* Level 6 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $110,110 - $114,984 + Superannuation.
* Government funded until 31 December 2025 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain partnerships with local schools, community and government agencies.
* Identify and work toward client goals and achieve successful case outcomes for clients.
* Attend stakeholder meetings for the benefit of clients and develop case plans.
* Collaboratively identify barriers, and create plans to overcome these, while developing student and staff skills to improve students access, participation and achievement in their educational environment.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Allied Health (Psychology, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy) or Education.
* Current registration with the relevant Registration Board, where applicable.
* Minimum two years' experience working with children, young people and their families or at least two years' experience working in similar roles.
* Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
* Post grad qualifications desirable in inclusion/trauma informed practice.
* Experience working with children, young people and their families.
* Knowledge of the education system.
Other Requirements
* Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
* Current driver's licence.
* Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
