Equipment Service Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Service Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our service delivery, you will be responsible for the servicing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of decanter centrifuge and high-speed separators.

Key Responsibilities:

* Servicing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of decanter centrifuge and high-speed separators.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, manuals, exploded diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
* Compiling technical service reports.
* Working to a high level of H&S – compiling and working to JSEA's, SWMS, permit to work, Take 5, etc.
* Being part of a pioneering team developing new applications via trials.
* Ensuring equipment runs reliably and keeping customers satisfied.
* Diversity of working on customer sites, equipment, and application types compared to being rigidly located on one site.
* A combination of regional, interstate, and local metro work.
* Supporting service center work when required.
* Being an active partner in transformation and QHSE initiatives.

Requirements:

* Mechanical hands-on experience.
* Experience with high-speed separators and decanter centrifuge machines.
* Experience in marine, brewing, wastewater, mining, rendering, oil, and gas applications.
* PLC control systems experience would be highly advantageous – Siemens, Allen & Bradley, 2 Touch, Plus, Basic, DCC, EPC 50/60.
* Electrical troubleshooting experience would be highly advantageous (but not essential).
* Australian connect/disconnect license.
* Full driving license required.
* Strong English language and writing skills.
* Strong digital skills – Word, Excel, Lotus Notes.
* Hold an industry white card.
* Hold a forklift license (preferable, not essential).
* Hold a dogger or rigger ticket (preferable, not essential).
* Hold a confined space ticket (preferable, not essential).
* Additional experience with Compabloc (welded heat exchanger), offshore working, welded and semi-welded plate heat exchangers, and CIP procedure would be advantageous.
* Reading plate heat exchanger plate specification drawings to ensure correct assembly would be advantageous.
* Prefer Australian permanent residency or citizenship.

What You Know

As an ideal candidate, you have trade-relevant mechanical engineering qualifications with proven, hands-on, post-qualification experience in assembling and disassembling mechanical separation machinery and components.

You possess excellent organizational skills to record service tasks in a clear, concise service report and submit all job-related paperwork and expenditure in a timely manner.

You are a great communicator, able to discuss issues and advise solutions to our customers' equipment and processes.

You must be confident and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or remotely supported, able to follow direction and instructions with ease.

You have a good level of physical fitness and must have the digital mindset and skills to work with business tools and help drive our company's digitalization journey.
