We are seeking a professional and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our team in Ormeau.
This fixed-term role involves processing customer orders, preparing quotes, and liaising with both customers and production teams to ensure smooth operations and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Process customer orders via email and system
Prepare quotes for laser cutting, folding, welding, powder coating, and other services
Assist with customer enquiries and provide updates on job progress
Prepare and update drawings as required
Collaborate with production staff to resolve special customer requirements
Develop and maintain relationships with customer purchasing contacts
Investigate and resolve customer complaints
Answer incoming calls and support general customer service functions
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and uphold company policies
Maintain open and honest communication with supervisors and management
Support multi-skilling activities and assist fellow employees as needed
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
ESSENTIAL - Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
ESSENTIAL – Proven experience in customer service or administrative roles
ESSENTIAL – Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
DESIRABLE – Experience with OPTO or similar order processing systems
DESIRABLE – Familiarity with manufacturing or sheet metal environments
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and customers
Commitment to punctuality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
This is a fixed-term contract role with an expected duration aligned to maternity leave coverage.
