This organisation is seeking an Events and Sales Manager with a passion for customer service and cultivating new and existing relationships to grow business development. Your new role As the Events & Sales Manager you will be responsible for effectively delivering communication and the coordination of conferencing and events, while implementing business development strategies, prospecting new sales and managing revenue documentation.
This role includes:
- Manage and coordinate external catering services and client specifications to deliver appropriate execution of conferencing and events
- Prospect for new business using a wide variety of methods
- Communicate site inspection and room bookings with concierge and confidently represent the organisation as the primary point of contact
- Provide AV/technical support where necessary in the preparation, execution, and post stages of meetings
- Report to and update management on a regular basis
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will be confident and accountable in managing all conferencing and clientele involved from the initial enquiry to post event activities.
Specific skills/qualifications:
- Experience in sales and creating/implementing business development strategies
- Experience in coordinating multiple conferences and events between 5-100pax
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Highly personable and able to build rapport quickly with clientele
