Character Living Building Company is seeking a Skilled All-Round Carpenter to contribute hands-on across all stages of construction, including carpentry and general building tasks, to support the successful delivery of high-quality residential projects.
Working as part of a structured on-site team, you will be actively involved in all aspects of the build, from set-out and footings, framing, fix-out, finishing works, and a wide range of general building activities as required. This includes assisting other trades, maintaining site organisation, and ensuring works are carried out in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.

THE ROLE
As a Skilled All-Round Carpenter, you will play a hands-on role on site, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality projects across all stages of construction. This is a practical, tools-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and is willing to assist wherever required. Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out a wide range of carpentry works across framing, fix-out, and finishing stages.
* Completing general building and non-carpentry tasks as required to support overall site progress.
* Working from plans and specifications to ensure all work meets Australian standards and company quality expectations.
* Assisting Leading Hands and Managers with day-to-day site activities and workflow as required.
* Coordinating effectively with other trades to ensure works are completed efficiently and professionally.
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe worksite in compliance with company policies and National OHS standards.
* Taking ownership of your work and contributing positively to site culture and team outcomes.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for a Skilled All-Round Carpenter who demonstrates:
* A positive, proactive, and hands-on approach, with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks across carpentry and general building works.
* Clear and effective communication skills, both on-site and with the wider team.
* Formal carpentry qualifications with proven experience across multiple areas of the trade.
* Strong knowledge of the building process, Australian standards, and regulations.
* The ability to work collaboratively with other trades and adapt to changing priorities on site.
* Resilience, problem-solving skills, and a practical mindset to get the job done efficiently and to a high standard.
