Are you passionate about safety and environmental responsibility? This role is critical in fostering a proactive safety culture across all mining and civil construction operations.
This position ensures compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, and industry best practices, while identifying and mitigating risks to protect the health and safety of personnel and the environment.
Your new role
Responsibilities include but not limited to.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulations, and company policies.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards.
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventative actions.
* Monitor environmental performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Assist in developing and implementing environmental management plans (EMPs).
* Deliver HSE inductions and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
* Facilitate risk assessments, job safety analyses, and safe work method statements.
* Support emergency response planning and drills.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, audits, and training.
* Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture
What you'll need to succeed
* Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related field
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
* Strong communication and leadership skills
