About the End Client
The end client is a major Defence organisation responsible for strengthening Australia's maritime capability. You'll be contributing to a secure, nationally significant program focused on supply chain optimisation, category management, and strategic analytics within a regulated and high‑impact environment.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Supply Chain Category Analyst to support critical supply chain and procurement outcomes within the Defence Maritime domain. You will lead the development and maintenance of advanced Supply Chain Analytics dashboards and tools that provide decision‑makers with clear insights, supporting strategic planning and category management initiatives.
This is a highly analytical role ideal for candidates with strong data capability, Defence logistics exposure, and a passion for transforming complex data into meaningful operational intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Supply Chain Analytics dashboard.
* Build and maintain a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to guide dashboard development.
* Create progress reporting mechanisms to track milestones and deliverables.
* Conduct data gap analysis and data cleansing activities where required.
* Develop training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and user guidance for dashboard use.
* Coordinate progress reporting for key Defence and industry stakeholders.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate data integration and high‑quality reporting outputs.
* Provide expert supply chain optimisation advice and support category management strategies.
* Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to identify contract categories, risks, opportunities, and potential savings.
* Analyse internal and external data to identify trends within Defence supply chain contracts.
* Support procurement governance and compliance with Defence frameworks.
Qualifications
* Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Procurement and Contracting.
* Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
* Expertise in Power BI and data analytics.
* Experience with Defence logistics systems such as MILIS or ERP platforms.
* Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification.
* Baseline Security Clearance (mandatory).
* 8–11 years of experience in Asset Data Analysis, Data Analysis, Logistics Support Analysis, Logistics Systems, Microsoft Power BI, MILIS, Supply Chain Analysis & Operations, Sustainment Logistics, Codification services, and stakeholder communication, engagement, and management.
