Pearson's Services is a well-established and growing NDIS registered allied health provider, delivering high-quality, person‐centred services across multiple disciplines in Southern Adelaide.

We are seeking an experienced General Manager / Operational Manager with strong expertise in NDIS Practice Standards, auditing, and compliance governance to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and operational maturity.

This is a senior executive role with accountability for operations, financial sustainability, compliance, and high‐quality service delivery in complex and high intensity NDIS environments. This role provides the opportunity for a leader who can balance commercial performance with regulatory excellence and participant safety.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director and Leadership Team, you will be accountable for the organisation's operational performance, compliance framework, and service delivery quality, ensuring alignment with the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators as enforced by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

Drive and execute the organisation's strategic direction to scale operations and expand services sustainably.

Provide strategic and operational leadership across all allied health service streams.

Improve operational efficiency, utilisation, and service capacity across multidisciplinary teams.

Identify and lead business development and growth opportunities within the NDIS landscape.

Translate sector insights into practical, commercially sound strategies.

Lead, mentor, and inspire multi‐disciplinary teams across multiple sites.

Develop senior leaders and managers to strengthen capability, performance, and succession planning.

Ensure compliance with worker screening, training, supervision, and clinical governance requirements.

Foster a high performing, inclusive, and values aligned workplace culture.

NDIS Compliance & Sector Expertise

Ensure full compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, restrictive practices requirements, and relevant legislation.

Lead and manage preparation for NDIS certification and surveillance audits, including auditor engagement and corrective action planning.

Maintain operational readiness for audits and high‐intensity service delivery.

Proactively address sector specific challenges with practical, risk aware solutions.

Operational Excellence & Systems

Oversee systems, processes, and workflows to ensure efficiency, scalability, and quality outcomes.

Implement and monitor quality assurance, continuous improvement, and risk management frameworks.

Ensure implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of policies and procedures aligned to NDIS Quality Indicators.

Maintain effective systems for complaints management, incident management, and reportable incidents, in line with NDIS Commission requirements.

Oversee governance, risk management, and continuous improvement frameworks.

Ensure services are responsive to complex participant needs.

Lead budgeting, financial modelling, and performance reporting.

Monitor cost to serve metrics and financial sustainability across services.

Provide strategic advice to the Executive and Board on financial and growth decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships with participants, families, staff, regulators, and external partners.

Represent the organisation at industry forums, community engagements, and stakeholder meetings.

About You

You are an experienced senior leader in the disability services sector, adept at working across both strategic and operational domains. You bring strong commercial acumen, a rigorous focus on compliance, and proven capability in leading organisations through growth and complexity.

Essential Experience & Skills

A minimum of five years' experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams within the NDIS or broader disability services sector.

Demonstrated success in operational leadership, business growth, and the scaling of services.

Strong knowledge of NDIS compliance requirements, including restrictive practices and high intensity supports.

High level of financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial modelling, and cost‐to‐serve analysis.

Proven capability in developing leaders and building high‐performing management teams.

Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.

A practical, solutions-focused leadership approach.

You will bring senior leadership experience combined with deep regulatory knowledge, including:

Proven experience in a General Manager, Operations Manager, or senior operational leadership role.

Demonstrated experience working within an NDIS registered provider environment.

In-depth knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators, particularly:

Governance and Operational Management.

Provision of Supports.

Rights and Responsibilities.

Hands‐on experience leading NDIS certification and surveillance audits.

Strong understanding of NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements, including complaints, incidents, and reportable incidents.

Experience leading multidisciplinary allied health or community services teams.

Strong financial, commercial, and operational acumen.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to build scalable, compliant systems.
