With a strong emphasis on financial governance and accountability, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to provide short-term support during a busy period. The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, this contract position will provide hands-on support across banking operations, cash flow monitoring, general ledger reconciliations, and audit preparation. Key responsibilities include: Timely and accurate recording of banking transactions in the General Ledger Processing EFT and international payments across multiple currencies Managing inter-account transfers and monitoring daily cash balances Calculating and recording foreign exchange gains and losses Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations and resolving reconciling items Supporting daily cash reporting and short-term cash flow forecasting Assisting with month-end close activities Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining ledger integrity Supporting external audit processes, including coordinating documentation and responding to queries Assisting with financial reporting requirements as needed Contributing to process improvements and supporting internal stakeholders This role will suit a hands-on finance professional who can quickly step into a structured environment and add value from day one.
