Camp Management Services – Port Hedland WA
Due to our growing business demands, we are looking to introduce an experienced and a dynamic Conference & Events Operations Manager to lead and elevate our Conference & Events operations. The successful candidate will work directly with the Management and the Food & Beverage Manager with an operational emphasis on Conferencing and Events. This includes guest liaison, supervision of employees, preparation of accounts, and managing equipment needs. They will support revenue initiatives and maintain cost controls whilst providing total customer satisfaction with all customer contact. This role is hands-on, working as part of a team to provide efficient food and beverage service. This is a live onsite or live locally position. Food and accommodation can be provided at a discounted rate.
Responsibilities
* Developing the Sales and drive revenue strategies to achieve set sales targets.
* Maintaining the Conference incentive database of key contacts/clients.
* Identifying the low periods of high demand periods and implementing appropriate strategies to maximise revenue.
* Promoting weekly banquet event order meetings and ensuring their efficiency.
* Providing quotations for proposals covering venue, function, menu, and accommodation costs, ensuring revenue is maximised.
* Coordinating and hosting of familiarisation and site inspection activity, including follow-up.
* Ensuring there is an active presence in the hotel as required by business demands or client and team member needs.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication and guest service skills.
* Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
* High attention to detail and organisation skills
* Prior experience managing a team at a senior essential.
