Due to continued growth and expansion across key sectors, our client is now seeking an experienced Technical and Sales Lead to drive market expansion and strengthen their commercial presence within the region.
The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and expanding market share within your assigned territory.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment, enjoys building strong industry relationships, and has a proven ability to identify and convert new opportunities. You will manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to negotiation and closing, while positioning the business as a trusted solutions provider within the industrial pumping and fluid handling sector.
The Tasks Ahead
* Identify and secure new business opportunities across mining, water, and industrial sectors
* Develop and execute a regional business development plan aligned with national sales strategy
* Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and networking
* Manage the full sales cycle, including qualification, solution development, proposals, negotiation, and closing
* Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand operational needs and provide tailored solutions
* Build strong relationships with engineers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers
* Manage and grow existing key accounts through cross‐selling and upselling opportunities
* Collaborate with internal technical and engineering teams to deliver competitive solutions
* Prepare and submit high‐quality proposals, tenders and quotations
* Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and provide insights to leadership
* Maintain accurate CRM records for pipeline visibility and forecasting
* Represent the business at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities
About You
You are a driven and commercially minded professional with a strong background in technical sales or business development. You enjoy building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering solutions that add real value to clients.
You are confident managing the full sales cycle, highly organized, and capable of working autonomously across a regional territory. With a proactive mindset and strong communication skills, you thrive in a high‐performance environment and are motivated by achieving results.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales or business development
* Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
* Strong commercial acumen and experience managing complex B2B sales cycles
* Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and forecasting
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage a territory independently and prioritise workload effectively
* Self‐motivated, proactive, and results‐driven
* Residence in Western Australia with full Australian working rights
Preferred
* Qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
* Existing network within mining, water, or industrial sectors
* Experience with structured sales methodologies (e.g. Solution Selling, Challenger)
* Background in pumps, fluid handling, or rotating equipment
