About the role
We are currently looking for a full-time Associate or SeniorAssociate (4-8 year PQE) front-end construction and contractsLawyer to join our Canberra real estate and construction team. Ourconstruction team is well recognised across our three offices forits work for all levels of government, major construction companiesand developers for practical and commercial advice. InCanberra, we have a strong government sector focus to our work,which sees us advising on construction projects in the ACT, acrossthe country and internationally in the Pacific. In this roleyou will further progress your career whilst working with asupportive, close knit team. You will be afforded excellenttraining as you will have the opportunity to work closely with apartner and clients on interesting and high quality work.Many members of the team work across both the construction and realestate side of the practice. It is not an expectation that you beexperienced in both but there would be opportunities to work acrossboth areas if this is the work mix you are looking for in your nextrole.
About you
In order to be successful and thrive in this role, you will:
* Currently be working as a front-end lawyer in aconstruction or projects team or have strong contractingexperience that could be applied to the constructionsector
* Have a strong technical legal ability and a genuineinterest in working in the construction and infrastructuresector
* A client-focused approach with a deep understanding ofcommercial drivers
* The ability to demonstrate exceptional drafting skills
* An independent thinker, comfortable learning new conceptsquickly
