The Opportunity
We are looking for a new Sheetmetal Tradesperson to join our team. You will be responsible for marking out, shaping, forming, and joining sheets and other materials to produce components and products as scheduled.
This role involves operating advanced machinery, ensuring high standards of work, and maintaining efficiency.
As an experienced Sheetmetal Tradesperson you will also responsible for mentoring and coaching apprentices and production team members in the correct and safe use of machinery and tools.
We are looking for an individual who is competent in using machinery such as laser cutters, turret punches, guillotines and press brakes with programming experience.
Your Skills and Experience
* Ability to operate a variety of sheet metal machinery - such as Turret, Guillotine, Laser cutter, Brake Press, Pan Brake
* Cert III in Engineering
* Communicate effectively with other departments regarding workflow
* Desirable - Computer programming with AP100 software
* Desirable - Scheduling with ERP system
* Read and interpret work orders and drawings for specifications.
* Visually inspect all work to ensure quality and accurate job specification
* Inspecting tools, maintaining machinery and complete an End of Day Shut Down
* Manage material storage and stock control
* Report any abnormality for any jobs
