The Roles
We aim to fill multiple roles within the Data Branch, under the leadership of the Chief Data Officer. These roles include Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers.
Technologists in the Data Branch work with a high level of autonomy, making decisions based on their judgment and experimentation to drive the adoption of innovative technological solutions that empower ONI’s business.
You will have the opportunity to solve complex problems, utilize state-of-the-art technology—including building and deploying Cloud, Software, and advanced analytical applications—and contribute to strategy and decision-making that significantly impacts ONI's future operations.

As a technologist at ONI, you will understand Australia’s strategic environment and government priorities, collaborate within specialized teams, and engage extensively with technology customers. Technologists possess a diverse range of digital skills and experience to enable people, harness processes, and leverage technology to achieve business outcomes.
