Empower Indigenous communities through legal support by contributing to a dedicated team. This role plays a pivotal part within the Northern Land Council Legal service, supporting lawyers as they provide essential legal services. These services are aligned with the NLC's statutory functions under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act and Native Title Act.

* Support our legal team with a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, from conducting legal research and administrative tasks to document preparation.
* Play a crucial role in helping Aboriginal individuals, groups, and associations realize their goals for self-determination and holistic development.
Requirements:
* A consummate professional with exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
* Highly developed legal research skills to provide critical foundation for legal pursuits.
* Currently enrolled as a student of law and/or significant past paralegal experience.
* Experience in accessing complex databases including the use of Microsoft 365.
* Sound ICT literacy including use of information management software and systems and Microsoft Office Suite 365.
* Current C Class Drivers Licence.
