About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the MiChoice Disability Supports' team as a Support Care Person. In this role, you will provide personalised care and support to clients with disabilities and or mental health in the Toowoomba QLD 4350 area.
Flexibility is key, as you'll be required to work:
* weekdays
* weekends and.
* sleepovers: to assist clients with their daily activities and help them live independently.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Helping clients with meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping
3. Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community outings
4. Reporting any changes or concerns to the management tea
What we're looking for
1. Experience in aged care, disability support, or a related field
2. A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable clients
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and strong ENGLISH speaking
4. The ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
6. A relevant certificate or qualification in aged care, disability support, or a similar field is highly desirable, or willing to obtain one.
