Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Refinery Accountant to support our integrated mine-to-refinery operations. This role involves day-to-day financial and management accounting operations, including month-end reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Refinery month-end reporting process including calculation, preparation, and posting of journals (accruals, inventory valuations, allocations, provisions)
* Collaborate in the coordination and management of the budget and planning process
* Investigate variances, conduct appropriate analysis, and prepare meaningful commentary in support of the month-end and planning submissions
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
* Review and processing of inventory valuations
* Preparation of specific financial and cost information for the Refinery
* Ensure accurate classification and treatment of capital expenditure and fixed assets
* Provide support to the Financial Accounting function in the review of key technical accounting issues, during financial audits, and in the completion of statutory submissions
* Prepare documentation of accounting processes for the Refinery
* Identify and implement systems, procedures, and tools to optimize the management accounting function for the Refinery
