About the opportunity We’re continuing to grow in the resources, renewable energy, infrastructure and conservation sectors - and we’re now on the lookout for a Mid to Senior level Ecologist to join our team in Mudgee. You’ll be joining a group of approachable, grounded professionals who are passionate about ecology and genuinely enjoy what they do. You will: Work on diverse and exciting projects across NSW, delivering high-quality ecological assessments and practical environmental solutions for clients Undertake ecological field surveys and assessments in a range of landscapes and conditions Prepare high-quality proposals, reports and management plans Contribute to project management, client liaison and internal collaboration Have access to learning opportunities and involvement in strategic team initiatives Be encouraged to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to your work. About you To thrive in this role, you'll bring: A tertiary qualification in Ecology (Zoology, Botany), Environmental Science or a related field 3 years of ecological experience (e.g. consulting, research, industry) Working knowledge of State and Commonwealth environmental legislation - bonus points for experience working under the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) Experience planning, coordinating and conducting ecological fieldwork Demonstrated proficiency in report writing (e.g. monitoring, assessment, management plans) Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills Strong GIS skills are desirable Project coordination and relationship-building abilities A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
