This is a critical role within our organization, requiring exceptional expertise in employee relations and human resources. As a key advisor, you will provide guidance and support to stakeholders across the university, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for providing high-quality advice and guidance on internal Employee Relations (ER) matters, undertaking research and assisting with the development of briefing papers, and fostering positive relationships with relevant unions and external bodies.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field, and at least 2-3 years of progressive experience in ER. You will also need to have knowledge of contemporary HR practice and procedures, particularly in the field of ER, and an understanding of the principles of interpretation and application of legislation, industrial instruments, and policy.
