The Contracts and Procurement Team works closely with theMint's Legal and Finance teams to support the broaderbusiness in delivering a wide range of procurement activities. Theteam provides professional high-quality procurement and contractmanagement support and advice to all business areas of the Mint toenable them to deliver their respective projects, programs andactivities, in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs),Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPAAct) and related policies and guidance.
As the Assistant Director, Contracts and Procurement you will berequired to demonstrate leadership and assist a variety ofstakeholders across the Mint to achieve their procurement outcomeswhile also contributing to businessimprovement.
The duties of this position include:
1. Coordinating the administrative activitiesundertaken to support day-to-day contract activities, meetinglegislative requirements for records management and auditrequirements.
2. Working closely with Mint business areas tounderstand their procurement needs and developing strategies tomeet those needs.
3. Collaborating with business areas to createcomprehensive market approach documentation, assisting inconducting market research and analysis to identify potentialsuppliers.
4. Working with cross-functional teams to assist inevaluation, and to coordinate contract negotiation andexecution.
5. Leading and mentoring a small contract andprocurement team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workenvironment.
Security clearance
This position requires a Baseline securityclearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain andmaintain a clearance at this level.
